I was in need of a garage door repair, as it wouldn't open or close properly. I called up Precision Door Service and they said that I needed to have all of the moving parts including the two springs (that help lift the door up) replaced. Both of the technicians were very congenial and explained all of the problems to me. They said that the springs were not supportive enough and put a huge strain on the motor and if I wouldn't have called when I did the motor would have burned out as well. They replaced all of the moving parts with new ones and fixed the alignment of the door to the floor, and when they were done I could almost lift the door with one finger. The new wheels were made of some rubbery material which made the door much quieter when opening or closing. They also installed a new rubber gasket underneath the door and I purchased a new remote control from them as well. All in all a very good but expensive day. I would recommend them to all of my friends.

SCOTT MAYHEW WAS FANTASTIC!! HE EXPLAINED I NEEDED NEW SPRINGS AND ROLLERS. HE ARRAINGED FOR TWO WORKERS TO BRING THE SPRINGS AND ROLLERS, THEN INSTALL THEM FOR ME. Beau McClure and Dillon Wiggins provided great professional service. We had a broken spring, called on a Sunday and had an appointment scheduled for 10-2 Monday. Beau arrived about 11, inspected the door mechanisms and provided an estimate for the repair, including some other items of concern that he found, for about $700, but he offered to perform a full garage door overhaul for just $80 more. The schedule for repair was for 12 - 4, the same day. Dillon arrived at about 12:30 to perform the overhaul and repairs, explained what he was doing and found an additional problem with the torsion tube, which he replaced for free. He was done by 2:00 and the door works great. I would not hesitate to call Precision for any future needs.

For more than 5 years my garage has been used as a storage unit. So, when the garage door opener failed there was little reason to have it fixed immediately. Recently, however, my nephew came from Indiana to help his disabled uncle clean up the garage enough to park my car. I considered the local company that had provided all my previous service and recalled the last time when the technician came and was very rude about my inability to move some items quickly out of his way. I reviewed the other companies on the internet and chose Precision Door Service of Central Florida. I was able to schedule the appointment at my convenience online. At the appointed time technician Scott Mayhew arrived and evaluated my situation. He explained what needed to be done and what my options included. Once I decided on what I could afford to do he asked permission to return the following day to bring a trainee that he wanted to observe the service. He returned as scheduled and began the installation process. He explained each step that he would be taking and when finished he called me to the garage to go over his service. He provided me a service manual for the door opener and explained what I needed to do to maintain the equipment. Throughout the visit Scott was polite and informative. He readily answered all of my questions. At the completion he cleaned up after his work. Since there were some boxes that he needed to move in order to get to his work he returned them to their location ( big points for that) and left me as a very happy home owner. I heartily recommend Precision Door Service of Central Florida.
